It was a group of very exiting girls meeting up over the past weekend for this shoot. We had planed it well and every one was eager to do our best to get some great fashion images out of this. On the day of the shoot, it was once again raining ( seems to happen a lot when I have planned outdoor shots :)) and for a while it looked like we had to cancel and reschedule the whole thing. Our make up artist Adele was traveling from far and the decision of cancelling or not had to be made quickly. But we felt it was all too late for not going ahead so we decided to take a chance and do the best of it. Our stylist Samantha Ria had manage to borrow the only samples of fashion designer Enya Patricias wonderful collection and the pieces where absolutely perfect for the ideas I had.
The theme and inspiration for the photo shoot was Snow white and Little red riding hood. Both of these old loved fairy tales has been reproduced many many times and it is very exiting to soon see them again out in the cinema.
The Red riding hood is the first one out. From the director Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) I would guess this movie is gonna be a beautifully filmed and fearful story. Starring Amanda Seyfried and Gary Oldman among others and with Leonardo Dicaprio as one of the producers this movie has a release date of 11th of March in the states. Warner Bros is the distributors. We have to wait a little bit longer in the UK until we can see it. I found the release date of 15th april but I am not sure how accurate that is.
For Snow White it will take a bit longer to reach the screen. The relise date is set for December 2012 and the movie name today is gonna be Snow White and the Huntsman.
Back to our shoot. As I mention Samantha had done a wonderful job getting all bits and pieces together. Adele did a great job with the make up. The red eyes I wanted for Red riding hood made the already beautiful model looking amazing. It was very striking. Our stylist Samantha also did some modeling as the character of Snow White. We all worked very hard in the rain and freezing cold and the natural light was very bad but looking at the images I feel it was all worth it.
